Academy Award winner Ben Johnson was the only person ever to be a World Champion Cowboy and an Academy Award Winner. I had the great honor to interview Ben thanks to Harry Carey Jr. (Dobey) who took a liking to me.

Former Congressman Joel Hefley (R) Colorado 5th district is an avid horseman and artist. Congressman Hefley retired after 10 terms in Washington and went back to Colorado. Joel Hefley’s bronze work is some of the best.
Inspirational author Jack Terry talks about how he derives inspiration from the West, the people in it and what it means to him.
Jack, his brother Joe and nephew Lon, make up the trio known as The Sons of the San Joaquin. Jack has a beautiful voice and sings lead on most of their songs. Jack also was a school teacher, cowboy and semi pro athlete. Jack was on Horseman’s World several times over the years and each time delivered.
The late don Burt was a horseman extraordinaire. Don was a past president of AQHA, along with sitting on the boards of many national horse organizations. Don was also a great friend and one of my biggest mentors in the horse show judging world.

Harry Carey Jr
Dobey to his friends, Harry was a great actor, and why not both his parents were actors. One of the last of the famous John ford stock company Dobey shared many tales of Hollywood from back in the hay day of the great western movies. Dobey passed away earlier this year and I shall miss him greatly. He was my friend.
Entertainer barely covers the talent of Wylie and his band. A Northwest native (Washington) Wylie brings to the stage a combination of styles, and he can YODEL!!
