What’s Shakin?

On last week’s show (AM Northwest) I gave you some tips on grilling or broiling steak with some fun side dishes. But coming up real soon is the 4th of July where the largest amount of BBQ is consumed in one day by the population of our country. Sounds like a winner to me. So if you missed it, I’ve added the link to the segment on my site. Also on my radio show, BBQ Nation on KXL, Steven Raichlen will be my guest this Saturday. KXL 101.1 FM and on the Radio Northwest Network.

Steven, I think has published the most books ever written on the subject of BBQ, grilling and smoking. He has a new show on PBS, Up in Smoke, which will begin airing on July 4th. You can check with OPB or your local PBS affiliate for the air schedule.

So, back to the 4th of July for a moment, I’ll be at the Surftides in Lincoln City on the 4th for their beach BBQ. I’ll join the Surftides crew laying some great burgers, brats, beans etc. on your plate for the festivities.

It starts at 5:00 p.m. and runs through 8:00 (or maybe later).

You do not have to be a guest of the hotel to attend, so all are welcome.

Adults are $12 and kids under 12 are $6.

Come on and head to the beach for some fun and BBQ,
